Heartland’s Exchange host system serves as the primary payments switch for hundreds of thousands of small and medium-sized businesses.
The Exchange Host has certified interfaces with all major card brand processing networks. While it is considered a “terminal capture” interface – meaning authorizations are not stored at the host and need to be submitted again in a batch for settlement – Exchange does support End-to-End Encryption, as well as single-use tokenization so that card numbers do not need to be stored post-authorization.
- EMV and E3 End-to-End Encryption enabled
- Comprehensive transaction set available, including offline EMV support
- Similar legacy message format as other payment processors
